(finished) Concert, conducted by Dirk Brossé: Full House

COUTRE M.A.M. organizes a unique musical concert on April 2 and 3, 2022, together with Floraliën Community vzw and Community Gent.

We started with a guided visit to the exhibition in the Provincial House 'Floralia Ghent, two centuries of renewal and innovation'. In a chronological and concise overview, the visitor can become acquainted with the most important pivotal moments in the rich history of the Ghent Floralies. More recent moving images will also be shown, such as a compilation of the opening ceremonies with a royal visit since 1990.

Then we walk to a historically very remarkable building, the Calefactorium in the Kleine Vleeshuissteeg (side street Kouter), recently renamed COUTRE M.A.M.

There we are treated to a 'flower' concert with soprano (Liza Dedapper) and piano. As an absolute first, the song 'Les Floralies Gantoises' composed in 1927 will be performed there. We listen to a concert in which our Ghent maestro Dirk Brossé has had his masterly input.

After a reception, the last part of the triptych starts, a free walk 'Flaning through green Ghent' with an information brochure.

This program is organized four times, starting at the Provinciehuis:

Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m

Sunday, April 3 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m

Since the number of places at this unique location is limited, you must register quickly, stating the number of people, and the chosen day and time when registering.

The payment counts as a registration of € 22 on account number BE 72 7360 5471 2916 of Community Floralies.

Absolute top event, for which we would like to thank all partners:

Community Floralies, Community Ghent, Yamaha, Dirk Brossé, Ghent Conservatory.

210 enthusiastic visitors attended our concerts with great pleasure.

A special thanks to Quatre Mains Pianos for supplying the beautiful piano.
